It is done.
Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 06:44PM I have placed the seed/plant order. Included are retries on broccoli, onion, and spinach. I'm hedging my bets on the onions; I found seeds and seedlings and ordered both. The broccoli and spinach will both be from seed. I'm not holding my breath. New tries for this year are sweet potatoes and shiitake mushrooms. Replacements for the strawberries (which are nearing the end of their productive life) are coming. I also have the usual assortment of green beans, corn (I know, I know, I said never again. Turns out I lied), lima beans, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, watermelons, and cantaloupe (none of the melons have ever been very successful, but hope springs eternal). I won't be starting all the seeds indoors, just the broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Seed starting is my favorite time for gardening. It's like buying boat. The happiest day is when you get it; the next happiest is when you sell it. The best time of gardening is planting; second best is pulling it up. :)
